No.  Your system is designed to be maintenance free.  It is only necessary for you to add salt when needed to keep your system operating properly.

Periodically check your brine tank.  As an easy suggestion to follow, add salt when you see water in the tank.  Add enough salt to cover the water and you’re good to go.  We suggest to pick 1 day during the month (ex: when you pay your mortgage or electric bill) and get in the habit of checking your brine tank.  This way you’ll know what your specific salt usage is over time and be able to anticipate how much to buy.

Your system is designed to clean itself, or REGENERATE according to your water usage.  It is set to do this important operation overnight while most people are sleeping. This happens about once or twice per week depending on water usage.

YES!  Your system is designed to last your entire life.  Again, it’s only necessary for you to add salt when needed to keep your system operating properly.
